Who is the Drone Media Fundamentals Workshop for?

Beginner and intermediate drone media pilots.


Who should attend?

Videographers and Photographers interested acquiring Drone Pilot skills in order to enhance their core competency of shooting in traditional settings in capture the best possible stills and video from the air.

And,

Drone Pilots and Hobbyists interested in acquiring Photography and Videography skills in order to enhance their core competency of flying drones in order to capture the best possible stills and video from the air.


What can I expect to learn?

Ground training- with an emphasis on equipment setup, modifications, flight plans, scouting locations, framing your shots, and safety protocals.

Flight training- Learning to use your controller and multi-rotor aircraft to fly safely and effectively. This includes hands-on training.

Media training- setting your camera and gimbal in the proper setting for success.


What kind of gear will you be using?

DJI S800 with a DSLR, DJI Phantom, Phantom 2 with ZenMuse gimbal, and GoPro Hero3,  Phantom 2 Vision, and Vision+. Field monitors, wifi extenders, and more.


Can I bring my own drone?

YES- If you have a Phantom or other quadcopter, you can bring your own and fly it during the workshop.


If I don’t bring my own quadcopter, will I still be able to fly?

YES- our hands-on flight training gives every student the opportunity to fly one of our Phantoms.


Tell me more about the hands-on training.

Every student will have a hands-on session with one of our instructors. The portion will be catered specifically to your level- beginner to intermediate.
